I had a dream that I had moved into an old apartment where the previous tenant had not cleaned and left items. I cleaned and moved my things into the rooms but I left the kitchen untouched. Then an old boyfriend of mine came over and there was sexual tension. He said he needed to get medication from his car. Iasked if he ever had an std and then we laughed. I started cleaning the kitchen Jen and found an old wetsuit , electronics and an old tv that started playing a scary Sifi movie. And there were a lot of cob webs. Then I was randomly on a couch with my mom and and old coworker who asked me ti give them a foot massage, when I did his feet smelled so I asked him to go wash them. I followed him outside and up to another apartment and saw a homeless person wrapped in a blanket passed out with a bottle of alcohol next to him. In a second dream I was at a friends house who has two babies and we were getting ready to take her husband to work. When we did and came home the house was humanized and a package I had was gone.
Your dream is rich with symbolism, reflecting emotions and situations in your waking life. Breaking it down, here's an interpretation of what each element might represent:
-
Old Apartment and Left Items:
- Old Apartment: Moving into an old apartment suggests entering a new phase or confronting aspects of your past. It might represent moving forward while still dealing with old, unresolved issues or emotions.
- Unclean and Left Items: The previous tenant's uncleanliness and items might symbolize unwanted emotional baggage or unresolved matters from your past that you need to confront and tidy up in your emotional life.
-
Cleaning and Setting Up:
- Taking the initiative to clean and move your things represents taking control, organizing your life, and implementing positive changes. It shows your willingness to progress, although leaving the kitchen untouched might signify an area of your life where you're hesitant or unsure about how to proceed.
-
Old Boyfriend Visit:
- The presence of your old boyfriend signifies unresolved feelings or thoughts about past relationships. The sexual tension indicates a potential desire for closure or understanding in relation to how things ended or how you currently feel about past romantic involvements.
- The conversation about STDs and laughter might indicate a need for open communication and honesty in your relationships, or it could highlight anxieties about past mistakes or indiscretions.
-
Kitchen Discovery:
- Wetsuit, Electronics, and Old TV: These items could symbolize forgotten dreams or hobbies, or aspects of yourself that you have neglected or need to revisit.
- Scary Sci-Fi Movie and Cobwebs: This represents fear of the unknown or unfamiliar changes in life. Cobwebs often signify neglect, highlighting neglected responsibilities or goals.
-
Couch with Mom and Coworker:
- Mother and Coworker: Being with people you know indicates a need for support and guidance from familiar figures in your life. It speaks to a communal need for acceptance and reassurance.
- Foot Massage: This may symbolize a need for grounding or supporting others, but experiencing the unpleasant smell signifies that offering help or support has its challenges and boundaries.
-
Encounter with Homeless Person:
- This could reflect feelings of vulnerability, both your own and observed in the world around you. It emphasizes empathy toward those less fortunate and may symbolize a part of yourself that feels neglected or unsupported.
-
Second Dream - Friend's House:
- Friend with Babies: Babies represent new beginnings, innocence, or fresh starts. This setting might symbolize transitioning into nurturing aspects and responsibilities.
- Taking Husband to Work & Missing Package: Shows the uncertainties and unpredictability of life. Taking the husband to work reflects routine responsibilities, whereas the lost package suggests unexpected losses or feeling unprepared for certain changes.
Overall, your dream seems to illustrate a journey of dealing with unresolved issues from your past, establishing new aspects of your life, and navigating both the joys and challenges of different kinds of relationships. It's an affirmation of a need for clarity, order, and support as you move forward.
